Strategic China Briefing with Alex Chu of Anken | ACBC Vic & Global Vic

27 Sep 2022

ACBC is delighted to partner with Global Victoria to invite China-based innovator and architect Alexandra Chu for a Strategic China Briefing

Born to a fifth-generation Chinese Australian on her mother’s side, Alex Chu is an Australian architect from Melbourne and founder of ANKEN Group, who has lived & worked in China for over 22 years.

She has successfully grown her own business from a 2-person consulting company into an established real estate development, investment, and management company with a total past & present property portfolio of +450 million RMB under management.

As one of the earliest pioneers of urban regeneration in Shanghai, the ANKEN Group has made a name for itself through sustainability, sensible design, and community-based practices, notably Austcham Shanghai’s Australia House, a dedicated home for Australia-China business in Shanghai.

In 2022, ANKEN was the recipient of a prestigious award from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for Excellence in Development (Asia Pacific) and is now a finalist for the upcoming Global Awards.

We are delighted that Alex will join us for a fireside chat to share her secrets to success and personal stories that paint an exciting picture of Shanghai over the last 20 years highlighting the large and growing emphasis on her net-zero journey.
