ACBC WA and CCCA (Perth Branch) Ping Pong Friendship Games

The Australia China Business Council Western Australia (ACBC WA) and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Australia (CCCA) Perth Branch invite members to the 8th Annual Ping Pong Friendship Games on Wednesday 13 December 2023.

Enjoy some friendly competition and immerse yourself in this fun-filled cultural experience. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow members, colleagues and friends. All skill levels welcome!

This is a team-friendly competition which requires every team to consist of three players. Each team is only allowed to have a maximum of ONE player whose Ratings Central rating exceeds 1000.

You can register as a team of three or register as an individual player and you will be placed into a team with two other players.

LOCATION: Top Spins Table Tennis Club – 19 Golding St, West Perth WA 6005

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Friday 8 December so that all teams can be finalised and competition schedule confirmed.

COMPETITION DETAILS:

Please note that to compete you must be a member of ACBC or CCCA.

This is a team-friendly competition which requires every team to consist of three players. Each team is only allowed to have a maximum of ONE player whose Ratings Central rating exceeds 1000.

The competition format comprises a total of five matches, four rounds of singles and one round of doubles.

The team formation is based on the pre-set home team ABC and the away team XYZ. Team captain can decide strategically which members are placed in the position of either A, B or C or X, Y or Z.

The matches are organised as follows: A vs. X, B vs. Y, AC vs. YZ, C vs. Z, and B vs. X. In total, there are five sets of games, and a team must win a minimum of three sets to secure victory.

If necessary, the event organiser will help teams satisfy the above playing format to provide a fair and friendly competition.
