Please join ACBC for an exclusive National Briefing with Aus’s Ambassador to China HE Graham Fletcher and federal trade representatives.
In a breakthrough event, Chinese and Australian trade ministers recently participated in a virtual exchange meeting – the first since 2019 – representing another important step in the stabilisation of Australia-China trade relations.
With a more optimistic outlook for 2023, what should businesses expect? Will the resumption of ministerial dialogue lead to increased trade? What are the priority areas for the government in 2023 and beyond? How has China’s economy and consumption trends changed post-COVID?
You are invited to join this National ACBC Briefing where Australia’s Ambassador to China HE Graham Fletcher will address these key concerns. The Ambassador will be joined by Simon Farbenbloom, Minister-Counsellor (Economic) at the Australian Embassy Beijing for a briefing on the evolving macro-policy framework in China.
Austrade’s General Manager for Greater China Rob Donelly will provide an update on the commercial environment and evolving Chinese consumer sentiment.
Speakers will be joined by ACBC Vic & Tas CEO Virginia Birrell to discuss questions posed by ACBC members on matters concerning the bilateral relationship and Australia-China business relations.
Representing ACBC National Sponsors, Bridget Qi from ANZ will deliver closing remarks.
This event will be held under strict Chatham House rule and available exclusively for ACBC and AustCham Members.
All questions must be submitted prior to the event. Please submit during the registration process or email zach.eggleston@acbc.com.au by Mon 21 March.
