ACBC Australia-China Agribusiness Summit – Climate Change Collaboration

25 Mar 2022

The Australia China Business Council invites you to the Australia-China Agribusiness Summit. Supported by Coles.

Climate change continues to present an unprecedented and unsolved challenge to food & agricultural production. Collaboration to fight this common challenge will form a unique platform for engagement between Australian and Chinese partners.

The recent COP26 conference emphasised the role of industry to step up and drive a net-zero economy. Capitalising on the momentum, this ACBC Summit will give voice to our shared challenges and language surrounding climate change and set the framework for future collaboration in the agriculture and food sector.

With a focus on industry and environmental sustainability, high-level government representatives and industry leaders from Australia and China will address methane reduction, agribusinesses’ sustainability strategy, COP26 targets, climate-resilient food production, tech and innovation-driven pathways to success and more.

This program will seek to look past the headlines and evaluate the long-term prospects for the food & agricultural relationship, particularly the products with an established and prospective consumer base in China.

This year’s event forms a significant part of the ACBC Green Channel and builds upon the successes from the recently held high-level bilateral Climate Change Roundtable organised by ACBC, Business Council of Australia and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

A half-day forum, lunch buffet and afternoon tea are included in the ticket price.
