ACBC VIC | Roundtable with Australia’s Ambassador-Designate to China

On December 14 2023, ACBC Victoria had the privilege of hosting Australia’s new Ambassador-Designate to China – Scott Dewar – in his pre-posting consultation.

Mr. Dewar has extensive experience in defence, security, and international policy, having previously worked in the Department of Defence, managing Australia’s international defence relationship, then the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, supporting the Prime Minister in National Security and International Policy.

Working with DFAT, this occasion provided a valuable opportunity for a select group of members to connect with our senior diplomatic representative before the commencement of his official duties in China. Mr. Dewar will bring a great deal of expertise to his role and we look forward to working closely with him over the coming years.
