Tuesday, May 11 – ACBC Vic and ACBC NSW were pleased to invite King & Wood Mallesons’ Mark Schaub (Senior Partner), Edwina Kwan (Partner) and Bayeco Skincare’s Christina Su to discuss the latest reforms to animal testing exemptions from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
From 1 May 2021, the NMPA has updated its regulations on importing non-special use, cruelty-free cosmetics, and importing general cosmetics into China without undergoing mandatory animal testing. The change of regulations has varying implications for cosmetics and skincare products.
Our professional panel gave an overview of the changes, unpacked the implications for Australian exporters and provided a holistic and realistic analysis of the regulatory changes.
