ACBC Victoria 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner

A momentous milestone for the Australia China Business Council, thank you to all who attended the ACBC Victoria’s gala dinner celebrating 50 years since its genesis. 

A timely event following the meeting of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and President Xi Jinping in Beijing last month, we were delighted to host over 300 of our members and close network for a stellar evening at the Park Hyatt Melbourne’s ballroom. It was a night of stories from the past and the shared enthusiasm with which we head into our next half-decade and beyond.  

Sincere thanks to our event partners Harmony Agriculture who provided the main course Wagyu beef, NASRA Group, BHP, RSM, VETASSESS, BrandAsia and Fu Ja for the Fen Jiu for the toast to the enduring Australia-China relationship.  

We thank and acknowledge the Governor of Victoria and her Lieutenant Prof James Angus AO, Victorian Treasurer the Hon Tim Pallas MP, and Mr Zeng Jianhua Acting Consul General for their encouraging words. Special thanks to Chris Renwick AO former CEO of Rio Tinto Iron Ore and past National ACBC President who took us through the early days of the Australia-China relationship and the start of our organisation.  

Our thanks to Federal MP Julian Hill, the Leader of the Opposition John Pesutto MP and Shadow Minister for Trade, David Southwick MP and our many senior corporate and government guests for their presence to mark the special occasion.
