On Thursday 1 August, ACBC Victoria was delighted to welcome a delegation of students from Tsinghua University, the DIGITAUS Social Practice Team.
After a warm introduction, ACBC Victoria & Tas CEO Virginia Birrell highlighted the longstanding friendship and trade relationship between Australia and China.
The General Manager of Bastion, Isabel Zhang and PR Manager & Registered Migration Agent of ICG Groups, Jennifer Yuan shared comprehensive experience and insight about the Australia-China market and specific policies.
The engaging discussion and Q&A session centered around the challenges exist and the big potential for business growth between Australia and China, with a focus on Agtech and Electric Vehicles. It emphasised the intertwined nature of trade, economy, and politics, and stressed the need for organisations like ACBC to foster connections.
In addition, the significance of cultural exchange in education was discussed, with a focus on its application in real-world settings. It was also highlighted that networking, mentorship, and critical thinking is helpful for future careers, and young graduates were encouraged to be proactive.
