Wednesday 17 July – The Australia China Business Council Victoria proudly hosted the Property Roundtable discussion on ’The Billion Dollar Question: Australia’s Housing Crisis…where to now?’ at the International Chamber House in Melbourne, as well as attendees joining online.
Our speakers Sadhana Smiles, Alan Tan, Dylan Brady and even host Ben McMahon presented the current market and how innovative technology can accelerate construction, cost challenges and key decision-making processes to new projects, and what Melbourne and Victoria can look like by the proposed completion of Victoria’s goal for 80,000 new homes each year for the next 5 years.
The 3 speakers participated in a Q&A panel, moderated by Shane Galea to further discuss on what proposed projects would look like in the real world, as well as questions surrounding the government’s role in the property sector. With added contributions from the attendees both in person and online, the passionate discussion concluded this engaging event.
We sincerely thank all presenters, Sadhana, Alan and Dylan, our host, Ben, and moderator, Shane for their invaluable contributions to the ACBC Victoria Property Roundtable.
