Canberra Networking Day: Event Summary

This year’s annual Canberra Networking Day (CND) returned as an in-person event, providing a welcome opportunity for more than 200 members and delegates to meet, hear from our nation’s leaders, and contribute to the nation’s conversation at the highest levels.

Held over three days (13 – 15 September 2022), CND explored the substantial transitions Australia and China must manage to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero and the economic opportunity arising for Australia to engage with China in this new era of industrial transformation.

The impending 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations also provided a timely opportunity to celebrate the depth and breadth of the relationship and to reflect on what it might look like in 10, 20 and 50 years ahead.
