ACBC Victoria. Knowledge. Networks. Advocacy.
The ACBC Victoria is a large, vibrant and diverse branch of 250+ member companies. We play an important role in supporting your China business journey and, since our genesis in Victoria in 1973, have worked to ensure that the Australia-China relationship has matured, developed and diversified.
A productive state, Victoria is only 3% of Australia’s landmass but contributes 23% to the national GDP.
In addition to the benefits brought about by the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA), the China-based Victorian Government Trade & Investment Offices and our extensive bilateral business connections, Victoria is uniquely positioned within Australia to capitalise on the AUD$28.3 billion trade relationship with our largest trading partner.
ACBC Victoria’s powerful and highly active member-only working groups cover agribusiness, education, energy & resources, China capital markets, health & medical research, property & development and tourism and provide regular business-focused activities as well as platforms for peer-to-peer discussion. Over the last 6 years, we have hosted 360+ sector related events attracting over 18,000 attendees.
ACBC Victoria works with local, state and federal government representatives, business and industry here and in China to assist Victorian firms when entering or operating in the China market and likewise we provide advice to Chinese businesses investing in Victoria.
We are pleased to have as our Honorary Patrons the Governor of Victoria and the Consul General from the People’s Republic of China.
ACBC Victoria is the go-to organisation in this state for networking, knowledge and advocacy across all sectors at any stage of your China business engagement.
