He has consulted to many corporate clients on asset acquisition and disposal and accommodation solutions. A highly regarded and regular contributor to the national media and business magazines, he has published over 550 articles on topics related to the property market.

Kurtis Prescott

Kurtis is a cost consultant with Mitchell Brandtman with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry providing cost controls, cost risk, and cost management advise to Developers and Financiers for a broad range of projects within the industrial, commercial, residential and hospitality sectors across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. In recent years, Kurtis has also been appointed in advisory roles on large commercial projects in the United States, Japan and South-East Asia providing cost advice including reviewing procurement and cost control measures from preliminary construction budgets through construction implementation and close out of projects.

Ben McMahon

Chair, ACBC Vic Property & Development Working Group; Manager, McMahon Property Group

Property is in Ben’s blood…and Chinese is just about too! Melbourne-based, Ben manages the property investment and development arm of McMahon Property Group. Ben is fluent in both spoken and written Chinese (HSK Level 6) having studied at Beijing’s Peking University and Shanghai’s Fudan University. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University, a Masters of Property from RMIT University, and is a Fully Licensed Real Estate Agent. Ben is a dedicated Australia-China advocate having starred in some of China’s highest rating TV shows including Hunan TV’s “Chinese Bridge”, Jiangsu TV’s “If You Are The One” and Hubei TV’s “Informal Talks ”. Ben is excited to merge his two great passions for Property and China in his role as Chair of the Australia China Business Council’s Property & Development Working Group.
