Alibaba’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival is recognised as one of the biggest eCommerce events in the world, and dwarfs all others, including Cyber Monday and Black Friday.

The Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of sales in 2019 for this one event was a record $US38.4 billion dollars across the Alibaba Group’s eCommerce platforms.

A 19-year veteran with Alibaba Group, Scott Ni joined the company in April, 2000 and has held key leadership roles in sales, marketing and marketplace operations. He spearheaded the globalization of Alibaba.com in India from 2008 to 2010 and from 2012 to 2014, he led the transformation of Taobao University, Alibaba’s flagship training and development platform. Prior to his current role in Alibaba Australia and New Zealand office, Scott had served in Alibaba Strategic Investment and led the integration of major M&As, including Lazada and Youku.

William Chen

William Chen is one of Australia's leading Chinese Marketing experts. In 2012, he started one of the first Chinese digital agencies in Australia and has since worked with 100's of Australian brands across all industries.
