Nutrition for Wellbeing with Simone Austin

14 Jul 2020

ACBC Victoria is excited to launch a new web series focussed on health and the cross-border medical collaboration.

In ‘The Healthiest You’ series, Australian health & medical experts will address prevalent healthcare issues affecting our society and provide valuable advice on how to improve lives through preventative measures, adoption of healthier lifestyles and where to seek help in the health system.

Proudly supported by Swisse, this collaboration between the Australia China Business Council Victoria (ACBC) and the Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA), will bring you a series of webinars to promote healthier living and holistic approaches to health, leveraging Victoria’s excellence in the health sector and medical research

To kick-start the series, we are pleased to host Simone Austin – Accredited Practising Dietitian, Advanced Sports Dietitian, and author who will speak on making healthy choices the easy choices – using nutrition to boost your life performance.

Simone is the author of Eat Like an Athlete. She is also an energetic media presenter on television, radio and at many corporate events and conferences, and with celebrity chefs in her health promotion role at Swisse Wellness and Rokeby Farms. She is a media spokesperson for Dietitians Australia and president of Sports Dietitians Australia.

Having seen the Hawthorn AFL Football Club through three consecutive Grand Final wins, and having worked with the Australian Men’s Cricket team, Melbourne Storm Rugby League and Melbourne City A League Football team, her success as a Dietitian speaks for itself. She talks with energy and enthusiasm, sharing funny stories and delivering practical, accurate nutrition advice. Her aim is having us all perform at our best using nutrition as an enabler.

We welcome all to join the launch of this impactful new series exploring opportunities for collaboration and building on already strong health and medical research links between Victoria and China.

Consumer demand in China remains strong in the healthcare sector, and Australia’s experience, skills and networks, through the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) signed in 2015, mean there are practical pathways for Australian companies to develop and commercialise opportunities.
