Jamie Wilkinson is Western Australia's best-known data breach communications expert. Since Australia's notifiable data breach scheme came into effect in February 2018, he has spoken about and written widely on the communications requirements of a data breach response. Organisations such as the Governance Institute of Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Public Relations Institute of Australia have all hosted his presentations. He has written a white paper on the steps organisations need to take to prepare for a data breach (notifiable or otherwise), and has advised on some of Australia's highest-profile privacy and data breach issues. Jamie has also been intimately involved with data breach instances outside of Australia's jurisdiction, including those which would fall under the EU's General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
