ACBC Victoria and ACBC Green Channel are pleased to invite you to the Australia-China Future Battery & Electric Vehicle Forum – an agenda-setting and timely event to discuss collaborative opportunities in the sector.
In China, the development of electric vehicles is in full swing. 6.49 million new energy vehicles were sold in 2022, almost double that of the year before and accounting for over 20 per cent of total new car sales.
Additionally, Chinese battery manufacturing is dominating the world’s market with more than 60 per cent of car batteries currently produced in China.
Conversely in Australia, just 2.9 per cent of all cars sold were battery EVs in 2021.
While Australia has a distance to go, there are clear and distinct synergies connecting markets that can provide a much-required boost.
Australia has the fifth largest deposit of lithium in the world, a critical mineral for EV battery production, and a thriving and technologically advanced market putting it ahead of its competitors in the Americas.
At such a critical time for the industry and the planet, join with leading minds and businesses driving our battery and EV future. Equip yourself with the knowledge and networks to thrive and drive this future industry.
Australia remains poised in waiting to provide the critical minerals, skills and technology to lift both China and Australia’s markets to the next level. This is an opportunity for the bilateral economic relationship to reach new heights while protecting our shared planet and shared future.
