Gerard Robb

CEO, ACBC QLD

Mr Robb is highly qualified for the role, a dynamic business professional with extensive commercial strategy planning, execution and cross border trade acumen acquired through experience and a deep network in investment banking, funds management, immigration investment, Chinese QR code payment systems, China and Hong Kong digital ecosystems, integrated resorts, high net worth client engagement, technology and private consultancy. Over the past two decades Mr Robb has developed a unique Asian ability skill set, operating in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and China. Mr Robb is fluent at a professional level in Mandarin and Japanese languages and exhibits a high level of business cultural competence in dealing with Asian clientele and business professionals. Mr Robb holds a Bachelor of Arts (Double Major Asian Languages – Chinese/Japanese) from Monash University and has also studied for extended periods at Tokai University Japan and Shanghai International Studies University. Mr Robb holds a Diploma of Financial Markets (FINSIA) and has represented Australia internationally in Triathlon, Mountain Running and most recently Surf Life Saving where he is the current World Masters Champion for the 2km sand run.
