Cr Karen Williams

Mayor, Redland City Council
Councillor Karen Williams was sworn in as Mayor of Redland City on May 15, 2012 with a commitment to enhancing the cultural, social and economic capital of Redland City. She was reelected in 2016 and again 2020, making her the longest serving Mayor and second longest serving leader in the history of the Redlands. Cr Williams prides herself for her strong, caring and inclusive community focus, for being hardworking and getting the job done. Her top priorities are: Continuing to put the people of Redland City first; identifying efficiencies within Council to ensure it is even more responsive to the people; tackling cost of living issues; building a new economy based on innovation; supporting local business and attracting new business investment and new jobs to the Redlands; turning challenges into opportunities for the city and its residents; building partnerships to address the backlog of infrastructure; and putting Redlands Coast on a sound long-term financial footing.

Lisa Cavallaro

Industry Development Manager - Food & Agribusiness, Brisbane Economic Development Agency
Lisa Cavallaro’s role in Brisbane EDA’s Industry Growth & Trade division involves project and stakeholder management, specialising in developing and scaling region’s food and agribusiness sector. She offers access to a network of industry stakeholders, and the ability to assist with the implementation of business development programs and creating connections with the sector. Lisa is the head of Brisbane EDA’s Future Food Initiative, a platform of industry development programs, which helps food businesses improve their business capability and readiness for the domestic and global market.

Yoalanda Lu

General Manager, China Construction Bank Corporation Brisbane Branch
She has 28 years proven and progressive corporate banking experience and extensive knowledge and proven success with the Bank’s products and services and management experience. During her career she was dedicated to support green and sustainable transactions in Australia. She's also responsible for the researches of ESG investment and the sustainable financing service.

Risko Isic

General Manager, Sirromet Wines Pty Ltd
With over 20 years’ experience as a Food and Beverage professional Risko knows the business inside and out. He has worked in many prestigious venues including a 3 Michelin Star Restaurant, he was an owner of one of Brisbane’s iconic venues, Mariosarti Restaurant in Toowong for more than 5 years. He developed the first fine dining concept on the Wheel of Brisbane and has earned some of the highest recognitions from the Australian Restaurant and Catering Industry and the Italian Hospitality and Commerce Association. Risko started out at Sirromet Wines in 2019 as the Director of Hospitality and has proven to understand the business and flow of work to excel and take on the role of General Manager. Since taking on this role he has been streamlining all processes to create a cohesive and organised working environment and push Sirromet to reach new heights.

Jessica Ferguson

Winemaker, Sirromet Wines Pty Ltd
Jessica has over 16 years wine making experience, with a strong interest in minimal intervention wine making and sustainability, as well as being a degree qualified chemist with a varied career in the food and environmental science fields. In 2014, she graduated as Dux from a star-studded field of students completing the AWRI Advanced Wine Assessment Course and has graduated with distinction from Levels 1-3 of the globally recognised Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Jessica is currently completing her WSET Diploma in Wine and is a Certified Wine Educator for WSET. Jessica's philosophy is to make wines that people love to drink. Well respected in the industry, she has had wine show judging experience at both Regional and National levels. Professor Ren is currently a member of the Universities Australia Deputy Vice-Chancellors International Executive Group’. Further, he was elected to the Board of the International Education Association of Australia in October 2020 for a two-year term. Professor Ren obtained his doctorate from the University of Melbourne in economic geography and international business. He is an experienced international education executive and is an expert on international matters in the higher education sector. He is also an experienced researcher with a keen interest in the effective management of international education and global partnerships and is actively involved in the research management profession.
