ACBC Queensland and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia held the Queensland launch of the “From the People’s Money to a Global Trading and Reserve Currency” Report on 28th September 2016.  The dinner event was held in partnership with Herbert Smith Freehills.

The Hon John Brumby, National President of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) delivered the keynote addressed, followed by a panel discussion with the Hon Steve Bredhauer, Chairman of Trade and Investment Queensland and Ms Sangeeta Venkatesan, Head of Renminbi (RMB) & China Solutions, Institutional Banking & Markets, CBA

Mr Michael Back, Partner - Herbert Smith Freehills delivered the welcome address and Mr James O’Reilly, Partner – PwC was also there to do the closing remarks.  Guest enjoyed a special wine selection presented by Mr Richard Dolan General Manager of Wine by Geoff Hardy, South Australia

Developed in partnership with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, PwC, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, and the Australia China Business Council, the Report seeks to provide practical guidance and information to Australian businesses on how to use the Renminbi for trade and investment between Australia and China
