1. Tell us about your business and how you've leveraged your Australia-China connections to build your success in China?
Ausmate Pty Ltd is a multinational company registered in Australia who is dedicated to internationalizing trade and commercial opportunities on a global scale. We are first established in 2014 in Canberra with the strategic focus over bilateral markets between Australia and China, which later outreaching surrounding regions and countries. Throughout our continuous development from 2014 till present, we have successfully accomplished layouts of trade resources and networks in Australia, China and Korea respectively. Our Chinese headquarter is situated in Guangdong province with four other operating sub-companies in Guangxi, Gansu, Jilin Provinces and Beijing.
2. What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
Ausmate contains 5 departments which are sales department, operation department, intelligent unit, online department and IT department. Each department works on their own projects and coordinate with each other.
CEO Wen daily contacts Chinese potential clients, he mainly works on expanding the alliance of investor and coordinate all sub-companies and business partners?Sales director Lukas helps all the sales consultants contact potential Australian suppliers, and makes industry background research for the clients; Intelligent unit manager Harry daily research clients’ information and appoint phone call meeting with COO West; Operation manager Bing daily helps admins work on administration, she mainly focus on executing service package and post-engagement with clients; Online manager Lin daily helps copy writings promote articles on Chinese/Australian websites and other platforms; IT manager Lin daily helps IT interns check and maintain company’s systems and websites.
3. What would you say are the five key elements for starting and running a successful business in/with China?

4. How do you go about marketing your business in Australia/China and what has contributed to this success?
  • Find the local talents and people with ability on marketing
  • Butt-joint and expand local markets through local friends
  • Strategic cooperation with Government and take advantage of Governments ‘relations, resources and support.
  • Online social media promotion and news updated on Chinese/Australian websites
5. You have been very successful to date, but there has no doubt been challenges - what's been your biggest challenge that you have overcome in your business journey with China?
At the second year when we started the business, we’ve run out of fund?and the projects have not been started at that moment. After well-considered, we decided to change our profit model and sell our service package as a share to our investors, therefore we expand our investors and advance our reputation, and we also have overcome the challenge on fund.
