Summit Overview
 
The Australia China Business Council is pleased to announce the Australia China Food & Agribusiness Summit. With the recent signing of the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) and China's ongoing transition to a consumption based, the Australia China agribusiness relationship is entering a new and mature phase.

Building on the success of the 2014 Summit, the 2016 Australia China Food & Agribusiness Summit will seek to unpack some of the challenges and opportunities that the Australian agribusiness sector is set to face in this new context. The event will explore how Australian business can position itself to take advantage of recent developments, with a number of key themes covered throughout the day including:
 
Opportunities for exporting to China through both traditional and e-commerce platforms; 
   
Exploring the latest trends in Chinese investment in Australian agribusiness, as well as models for success;
   
The capabilites and opportunities for the commercialisation of Australian agribusiness technology​;

Keynote Address

 

The Australia China Business Council is proud to announce that The Hon. Andrew Robb AO is set to deliver the keynote address at the 2016 Australia China Agribusiness and Food Summit. 

Mr Robb played an instrumental role in helping to securing the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) and has a long-term interest in Australian Agriculture, including in a prior role as Executive Director of the National Farmers Federation.
