Justin McDonnell, Partner – King & Wood Mallesons.  Justin has extensive experience in resolving commercial disputes and has worked on matters involving issues such as resource disputes, trade practices, telecommunications, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and banking.  Justin is a member of the Firm’s global investigation group and regularly works with his Chinese partners on bribery and corruption issues. Australian law firm, Mallesons Stephen Jaques combined forces with China’s leading Chinese law firm King & Wood Beijing, to create King & Wood Mallesons in 2012.

Clint Wood, Executive Director and Design Principal at Place Design Group. Clint has been the Principal for Place Design Group’s Chengdu office since its inception in 2011 and has just returned as the Principal of their Gold Coast office.  For more than 15 years, he has worked throughout the Asia Pacific, China, and Europe and has worked with clients including Vanke, Capital Land, New World, and China Overseas. Through the establishment of successful offices in China, Clint has developed a clear understanding of the critical difference in negotiation and working in China.  He has gained insights into the property development industry in China and has worked with teams to master the art of innovating the ‘design product’, whilst successfully delivering a value added design process.
 
Clinton Dines, Principal Moreton Bay Partners. Clinton returned to Brisbane in December 2014 after over 3 decades in the Greater China Region.  He was President of BHP Billiton China and has specialised in both the strategies and business practices involved in negotiating, establishing, managing and developing foreign‐invested businesses in China.  He is a Non-Executive Director of Aurecon Group and North Queensland Airports. He is also a member of the Griffith University Council. In November 2015 Clinton was appointed a Non-Executive Director, Fonterra Cooperative Group Limited – Global Dairy Products Auckland.

Moderated by Berkeley Cox, National Managing Partner - King & Wood Mallesons’ Financial Services Sector and Banking & Finance and Project & Real Estate practice teams.  Berkeley was the Partner in Charge of the Brisbane office and managed a successful legal practice covering debt capital markets, funds management, structured finance, securitisation and derivatives.
