Melbourne: Cooperation Opportunities under China's One Belt One Road Initiative

20 May 2016

International Chamber House, Level 5, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne 3000

ACBC Victoria is pleased to invite you to hear Dr Xiang Junyong discuss industrial cooperation opportunities associated with China's One Belt One Road Initiative. He is the Vice Director of the Cooperative Research Department of Chongyang Financial Studies, and is currently undertaking a macro-evaluation project on One Belt One Road.

While Australia does not fall on the One Belt One Road map, the initiative presents Australian construction companies with an opportunity to gain from the spreading of economic development.

As is evident in the China Australia Free Trade Agreement, China clearly understands the benefits that the Australian services sector has to offer. The ChAFTA and the One Belt One Road initiative present opportunities for Australian companies to joint venture with Chinese companies in providing a range of services.

About our speaker:

Before joining the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Dr. Xiang Junyong served as Management and Economics lecturer at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tianjin University; research professor of Electronic Business School of Management, Kyung Hee University (South Korea); Postdoctoral researcher on financial and economic strategy at Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS).

Dr Xiang Junyong is also an active commentator in China and has published more than 50 papers in international and Chinese journals. The main research areas of Dr. Xiang Junyong include management information systems, the Internet economy, quality management, international co-production and industrial economics.
