In recent years, Chinese consumers’ spending on e-commerce platforms has been increasing at a rate of approximately 50% annually. The number of cross-border shoppers in China has exceeded 18 million and the size of the cross-border Chinese market is projected to reach 1 trillion RMB by 2018. The impact of e-commerce has been expanding across industries on a global scale.
It is necessary for the Australian business community to raise critical questions and identify opportunities available in this fast-growing market.
The Australia China Business Council is pleased to host a Member Q&A event to provide our members with an invaluable opportunity to answer their enquiries and facilitate connections with China-savvy professionals, on Wednesday 14 October 2015.
This event will feature panelists from a variety of backgrounds to share their industry experience and insight into what new changes in e-commerce will mean for B2B brands and how Australian exporters can gain better understanding about Chinese customers. Confirmed panelists include:
Chang Xu, Director, SilkRoadEXPO; committee member of ACBC NSW branch
Sara Cheng, Senior Manager, China Practice, Australian Business Consulting & Solutions
Steve Shen, Country Manager, Alipay Australia
