Perth: 5th International Tourism Studies Association Conference
26 November 2014 to 28 November 2014
Department of Parks and Wildlife Technology Park, Western Precinct, 17 Dick Perry Avenue, Kensington WA 6151
Dear ACBC members and friends,
I am pleased to inform you that ACBC in association with Murdoch University, Peking University and the International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA), are together hosting the 5th Biennial ITSA Conference which will bring together China’s leading experts on the country’s outbound tourism market. In doing so, it facilitates discussions on how to raise the profile of Western Australia and to effectively position Perth in the China market.
It also provides a forum for international researchers to address environmental issues which both directly and indirectly impact tourism.
Register now to attend, please find attached the registration brochure and draft program.
The conference is approaching taking place from Wednesday 26 – Friday 28 November with an extensive 3 day program and we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are also available, see attached the prospectus for further details.
The International Tourism Studies Association is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to bridge the gaps in tourism studies and research, education, and training between developed and developing countries, particularly between China and the rest of the world.
With this in mind, the Conference aims to:
1. Educate and inform its audience about the burgeoning China outbound tourism market;
2. Encourage discussion about Australia’s and WA’s nature based tourism and its synergies with China’s tourism market, academia, and government; and
3. Encapsulate the quintessential qualities for a city to become globally recognised as a “World Tourism City”.
