Sydney: Air Quality & Environmental Industry Policies in Beijing

30 October 2014

NSW Trade and Investment, Level 47. MLC Centre, 19 Martin Place, Sydney

NSW Trade & Investment in conjunction with the Australia China Business Council invite you to attend an information session and networking opportunity with a government delegation from the Beijing Municipal Government on:

Air Quality & Environmental Industry Policies in Beijing

Opportunities & Information for NSW Companies

As part of the existing NSW-Beijing Sister State Agreement, The Deputy Secretary of the Beijing Energy Saving & Environmental Protection Agency, Ms. Zheng Weiying, will present to interested NSW companies and organisations on the Beijing Municipal Government’s five-year Clean Air Action Plan (2013-2017) aimed at limiting industrial and traffic pollution in Beijing and reducing dangerous air particle density by at least 25 per cent.

NICTA will also be presenting on their:

Air Quality Prediction Service Technology

Using predictive models that determine how air pollution will evolve over the next 24 hours, this NICTA technology potentially enables industry to take measures to alleviate pollution before it becomes an issue. The service was developed in collaboration with the NSW Government Environmental Protection Authority and is presently deployed to its field officers for operational purposes.

This seminar will be of interest to NSW companies and organisations with interest and expertise in air pollution caused by vehicle emissions and urban industrial activities.
