DAVID CULLEN, TAX PARTNER
Prior to coming to Shanghai in early 1997, David practiced in Australia and Papua New Guinea advising various multi-national corporate and individual clients on tax effective structuring of both inward and outward investments.
David is the lead tax partner in Shanghai advising on tax-effective remuneration planning for expatriate and local employees. He also coordinates the development and use of technology throughout our China individual income tax practice to optimise client service efficiency and effectiveness.
David is currently Chair of the Australia China Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (“AustCham Shanghai”) where he is an active participant in the international business community. He is also an experienced speaker at seminars in China and the Asia-Pacific region on Tax Effective Remuneration Planning and other PRC Individual Income Tax issues.
David is an Australian Chartered Accountant and was admitted as a partner in Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1983.
