Professor Lardy is one of America’s leading experts on China. He has been a professor of international studies at the University of Washington since 1985 and a Senior Fellow at the Institute for International Economics in Washington since March 2003. Between 1995 and 2003 he was a Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Studies Program at the Brookings Institution. His background details are attached.
