Middle East – Australia’s largest export market for automobiles
Find out more about these two significant markets for Australian auto companies, China and the Middle East, from industry specialists, exporters and government representatives at our afternoon workshop on 20 October 2010.
The Department of Industry, Innovation and Regional Development in conjunction with the Australia China Business Council and the Australian Aftermarket Automotive Association will present two workshops on opportunities and market conditions for automotive exporters in China and the Middle East.
The session will be divided into two parts. The first session will look at market opportunities in China, now the largest automotive market in the world with more than 13 million vehicles sold in 2009. Opportunities for Victorian companies exist in areas such as R&D, training, design, auto components, supply and alternative fuels technologies.
The second session will focus on opportunities in the Middle East with a particular focus on the aftermarket sector. With 4 million vehicles on the road in the Gulf countries alone, the Middle East presents good prospects for Victorian automotive suppliers.
