The ACBC Victorian Branch, in partnership with Regional Development Victoria, invites you to attend an upcoming forum on Growing Business Opportunities with China tailored specifically for the local Hume business community.

The forums will provide information and consultation that is practical and specifically designed to aid small to medium sized rural businesses. The forums will consist of interactive discussions with our informed presenters and a network function for attendees to seek advice and gain business insight from our experienced China specialists.

The forums will be an excellent opportunity for those already dealing with China or those proposing to enter the China market to be greater informed of the constraints, opportunities and best practices of commercial China engagement.

Presenters speaking and providing advice at the Shepparton forum are:

  • Mr. Jim Lang, Managing Director, Trade Data International Pty Ltd
“Do local China trade stats offer important information?”

  • Mr. Campbell Jeffrey, Managing Director, The Burchett Group
“The opportunities and challenges of agricultural exports to China”

  • Ms Rofer Yu, Manager Asian Business Development, Central Victorian Export Network (CVEN)
    “Chinese customer engagement & negotiation”

  • DEPI,  Market Access Department (Name to be confirmed)
“Trade regulations, customs and import requirements to China”

  • Mr. Dom Bayard, Director, Sexed Genetics
    “Local Business Case Study”

The forums aim to be the beginning of a long-term engagement between ACBC Victoria and the regional Victoria business community. Through creating enhanced integrated business networks, the ACBC is seeking to provide support for regional industry in being ‘China ready’ and creating meaningful linkages and opportunities between rural Victoria and its largest trading partner.
