Our regular ACBC Victoria lunchtime series presentation on Tuesday 2 September 2014, was on the topic "Do you need your own office in China to do business there?”

The luncheon featured, guest speaker Mr Tim Lyons, Managing Director of ManageChina Pty Ltd. With 60 guests in attendance, Tim's presentation covered the nuances of establishing a registered foreign business in China and shared stories of successful foreign office set ups with streamlined, efficient processes as well as providing advice, through his relevant experience on what not to do.
Tim Lyons has been living and working in China for ten years and is a Director and Managing Partner of ManageChina Pty Ltd - a Shanghai based consultancy firm.

ManageChina is an advisory and business process management consultancy specialising in assisting foreign companies with a small China footprint to manage their market entry and/or day to day activities in China.
Over the years he has assisted both small and large organisations - public, private and government  - and clients that include Fortune 500 and ASX 200 companies, universities and smaller family run businesses. Tim was previously Vice Chairman of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, where he also acted as Finance Director and Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. For the last ten years he has also been a Visiting Professor in Marketing to IESEG School of Business (Paris) - a school consistently ranked Top 10 in France.
