Lawrence McDonell, Australia Manager, and Charles Qing, CEO of Zhixi Media, an Australia based company with offices in China, will present details of the Daigo 2.0 phenomenon. This seminar will show how local brands can take advantage of the Daigou ecosystem in Australia, with a description of its evolution and likely future trends. It will detail important information about upcoming (January 2019) Chinese eCommerce law, how local brands can benefit from using local Australian Chinese logistics, and the critical importance of WeChat Official Australian company verified accounts. It will also cover technical developments in how cross-border retail trade with China is made.

At this seminar, speakers will demonstrate practical steps of how local brands can easily take advantage of this channel.

Bio - Jack Lu, Advisor, E-commerce, Austrade

Jack Lu is an e-Commerce advisor from Austrade. After joining Austrade, Jack has been working with key global online marketplaces and very keen in developing global cross-border e-Commerce ecosystem for Australian exporters. This will help Australian companies get started in exporting and brands of all sizes to use online channels to reach customers overseas they may not be able to through traditional bricks and mortar.

Bio - Lawrence McDonell, Australian Manager, Zhixi Media

Lawrence is an educator, manager, programmer, marketer and designer. He has worked in tertiary, secondary and corporate educational institutions. He has worked in tourism at Tourism Australia and in corporate web and mobile development and design. In 2008 he taught Charlie Qing in a diploma in Web Development and has worked together pursuing Zhixi Media projects.

Bio - Charlie Qing, CEO and Founder, Zhixi Media

Charlie is from Dalian, a seaside port in Northern China, and emigrated to Australia in 2006.

Charlie founded Zhixi Media in Sydney in 2008, originally serving the local Australian Chinese business community, quickly becoming the media and IT agency of choice for this community.
