Peter Geers - Executive General Manager of Markets, Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)

Peter is the Executive General Manager (EGM) of Markets, a department that looks at the financial operation of, and transactions across, Australia’s gas and electricity markets. Peter joined the ELT following his work as Group Manager of AEMO's Markets and Business Strategy divisions and has a wealth of experience in the energy industry. Peter is passionate about ensuring AEMO adapts to changes in the energy industry and is keen to use his experience in people management to progress work that helps AEMO remain agile and responsive.


Andrew Dash – Executive Advisor, GHD

Andrew is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in the development and operation of infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally. He has a strong commercial acumen and substantial experience in complex commercial negotiations. Andrew has extensive experience in providing specialist commercial, strategic and technical advice to clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Andrew has advised major infrastructure investors including QIC, IFM and AMP Capital. Andrew has previously held Executive Director roles with both ASX listed and private companies. In addition, Andrew has held senior management roles with major energy companies APA Group and AGL.


Louise Horrocks – Partner, McCullough Robertson

Louise Horrocks is a Partner at leading independent Australian law firm McCullough Robertson where she is Head of the Renewables team.  She acts for clients, both established and looking to enter the sector, on opportunities for investment and project delivery.  Louise specialises in mergers and acquisitions and provides technical advice and implements complex commercial transactions to structure acquisitions, disposals and establish new ventures.  Most recently, she has been advising a major US Hedge Fund on all aspects of its Australian renewable energy acquisition program.


Richard Loh - Senior Engineer Power, GHD 

Richard completed his PhD degree in Power Electronics at the University of Edinburgh. Richard has been in the wind and solar industry in the UK, China and Australia for 13 years. He specialises in technical and commercial aspects of wind and solar farms, battery energy storage systems, logging and remote sensing equipment, and power electronics.




John Zhong - Project Development & Investment Director Australia, Risen Solar Technology

Joining the Global top 5 of PV manufactures, John has been leading one of the most experienced renewable development teams in Australia. John has completed a merger and acquisition of 121 MW project in Southeast Queensland, currently on the way to financial close by Q2 2018. John continues to merge and acquire solar/battery storage projects Australia wide as well as developing greenfield projects with a combined pipeline of 1GW+ by 2021.


Bruce Iliff - Senior Advisor Regulation, GHD

Bruce has worked in a varied range of roles in the transmission and distribution businesses of the electricity supply industry. During this time Bruce has built a strong network of contacts in both the network businesses and the major network users. Since working as a consultant, Bruce has used knowledge gained in the network companies to assist network users in their dealings with the network companies. Bruce has been involved with a large number of renewable energy projects; primarily assisting the proponents in interactions with the network companies; as well as site selection advice, network connection strategies and facilitating development of Generation Performance Standards.
