FACILITATOR

Alex Makin FGIA FAMI CPM, Managing Director, Syneka Marketing

 
Alex Makin has over 15 years’ experience in utilising marketing to transform businesses, not-for-profit organisations and government. His career spans marketing and management roles within businesses, not-for-profit organisations and as Mayor and Councillor for the City of Maroondah. Alex formed Syneka Marketing in 2009 to embed good marketing governance through the aim of redefining marketing. Today, Syneka Marketing is an established marketing consultancy that has worked across businesses, not-for-profit organisations and government statutory authorities.
 
He is a Certified Practising Marketer and Fellow of both the Australian Marketing Institute and Governance Institute of Australia. He is a sessional lecturer at Kaplan Business School and guest lecturer at other Universities. He is a member of the business advisory council for the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University and former State Chair of the Australian Marketing Institute.
