Event overview
The Australia China Business Council is pleased to have collaborated with L.E.K. Consulting to produce 'The China Tourism Economy: Reaching Australia's Potential' report. The report goes beyond looking just at Chinese tourism opportunities and challenges in Australia, to explore what lies ahead in the non-tourism markets such as education, migration and the export of Australian products into China.
The report investigates:
  • The broader economic linkages of Chinese tourists to Australia and their ongoing relationship with Australia
  • The key trends within China's continuing growth as a source market
  • The future imperatives required for Australia to reach higher economic potential within Chinese households
The report is a very important and contextual update for ACBC members and attendees. The report and event will also provide a framework and guide from which organisations involved in tourism activity, education and consumer goods can review their readiness for Chinese business.
