It’s a little known fact that over the last 3 years, well over 600 high net worth Chinese business people have successfully applied to become business migrants to South Australia.

A condition of their entry and ongoing residency in Australia is that they commit to and engage in minimum dollar amounts of trade or investment in South Australia. In general, the participating business migrants are required to export $600,000 of South Australian produced goods or invest $1.5m into a local business.

The volume of trade and investment activity that these approved business migrants must deliver in South Australia is estimated to be somewhere between $350 million and $1 billion.

The Trade & Investment Fair is the third event in the 3-part Business Migration Month series of events the ACBC, Immigration SA and Adelaide City Council are facilitating to improve business engagement between ACBC Members, local SA businesses and Chinese business migrants.

As the business migrants attending are current business migrants required to meet predetermined levels of trade and/or investment, we are seeking EOI's from trade/investment ready businesses from a diverse range of industries only. This is an invite only event and spaces are strictly limited.

Please use the link below to register your EOI, which must include the following details:

  • Details of the product(s)/offering you would like to exhibit;
  • Anticipated volumes and $ value of the trade or investment that your business is able to service;
  • Details of any samples of your product you intend to exhibit at the Trade & Investment Fair; and
  • Any special requirements regarding the exhibition space (e.g. access to electricity, etc – noting that that you will need to bring all equipment required to exhibit your product samples, such as cutlery, glassware, etc).
