The Australia China Business Council is delighted to launch the China Market Insight Series - a program dedicated to delivering cutting edge research developed by ACBC and industry members to identify business opportunities for South Australia in engaging with China.

The China Market Insight Series will analyse 5 sectors of agribusiness, property, education, tourism and health services in the form of industry roundtables with final reports to be launched at ACBC’s State of the State event in December.

It seems every other day there is a news or opinion piece relating to Chinese investment into Australian property, but what does this mean for the state of South Australia?

Join the Australia China Business Council and research partners Colliers International for a presentation and industry discussion on the motivations, trends and facts of Chinese investment into residential real estate in central Adelaide.

Topics will include:

  • A comparison against the eastern states of Chinese investment activity into South Australia from an individual investor and property developer perspectives;
  • Insight into the motivations of Chinese property investors;
  • International, federal and state policies encouraging or limiting Chinese investment into SA property; and
  • The role international education and tourism plays in developing Adelaide’s property market.

The presentation of the paper will be led by James Young - State Chief Executive SA, Colliers International & Chair, ACBC South Australia Property Sub-Committee, and an expert panel will facilitate discussions moderated by Sean Keenihan - Vice-President, Australia China Business Council & President, Australia China Business Council (SA).

Networking drinks will follow participant discussions.
