06 November 2017 to 06 November 2017

PwC Adelaide, Level 11, 70 Franklin Street, Adelaide

The Australia China Business Council is delighted to launch the China Market Insight Series - a program dedicated to delivering cutting edge research developed by ACBC and industry members to identify business opportunities for South Australia in engaging with China.

The China Market Insight Series will analyse 5 sectors of agribusiness, property, education, tourism and health services in the form of industry roundtables with final reports to be launched at ACBC’s State of the State event in December.

CONNECTING SA PRODUCERS TO CHINESE MARKETS

Consumption of imported food goods and agricultural products is at an all-time high in China and with a growing middle class and the introduction of ChAFTA, expectations are for long term sustained growth. Yet the business model of going direct to the Chinese consumer with value-added products is often seen as a step too far by many South Austraian producers and farmers.

Such being the case, it is vital that producers band together and collaborate. ACBC believes that a well-coordinated support network is essential in helping South Australian agricultural producers to realise their share of substantial market potential in China.

For the past year, ACBC has been researching case studies across the country and across industry to investigate how to best support SA producers to access the China market more directly.

Join us on Monday November 6 as we share the key findings of this research and invite comment from industry.

Networking drinks will follow participant discussions.
