Melbourne: Learning from the Locals - The Latest Advances in Consumer Thinking and Behaviour in China

13 June 2017

International Chamber House, Level 5, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne 3000

ACBC Victoria is pleased to invite you to our roundtable discussing the latest advances in consumer thinking and behavior that dictate choice and future choices, and why local Chinese companies are gaining market share.

The retail and consumer market in China is becoming more and more competitive. Consumer thinking and behavior that dictate choice and future choices is constantly changing. In this environment, it is local companies who are gathering momentum and market share through innovative brand strategies and inventive and highly effective activation campaigns. As competition intensifies, it is clear that foreign brands will need to do more than just rest on their reputation for quality, clean, green and safe. They will need to go further in understanding the consumer and their rapidly changing preferences.

So what can international and Australian brands do to keep pace? What can be gained by looking to their local rather than international competitors to succeed?

This roundtable will allow participants the chance to hear from as well as dialogue and workshop these questions with leading China F&B Brand Strategist, Andrew Kuiler of The Silk Initiative. Andrew is a China consumer goods expert with over 16 years’ experience in developing market entry, brand, product and packaging strategies and has worked on many of the now famous Australian market entrant success stories including Sanitarium (WeetBix), SPC and Bulla.
