August Roundtable - Chinese concerns and aspirations in the current global environment

 On 26th February, Dr. SUN Dali, arrived in Brisbane to assume his role as the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China to Queensland.

After completing a Bachelor of Laws in 1982 and a Master of Laws in 1985 Dr Sun took up the position as Attaché & Deputy Division Director Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Beijing, China.P.R.until 1991. From 1991-1995 he was Second Secretary & First Secretary, Chinese Representative Office of the Sino-Portuguese Joint Liaison Group, Macao SAR, China.P.R.  Dr Sun spent five years in London as the Councillor and Consul-General at the Chinese Embassy. For the past six years Dr Sun has been the Deputy Director-General, Department of Consular Affairs, MFA, Beijing, China.P.R.
 
With this extensive diplomatic experience, Dr Sun will be sharing his insights into the Chinese concerns and aspirations in the current global environment and the implications of these for Queensland and Australia.
