Queensland has a rapidly growing and active ACBC branch with strong representation from both Australian and Chinese Businesses and government representatives.

Business members come from a wide range of sectors including exporters, importers and investors. We focus on delivering programs and information for members on topics which are relevant to your business. ACBC membership enables business to create a valuable network for engaging with China.  The Queensland Branch works closely with the Chinese Consulate General, the Chinese business community, our federal, state and local governments to enhance the value of your membership.

Mr Stephen Abbott

Stephen is a Partner and China Expert at KPMG.  He has over 20 years’ experience in International Business, Migration, Energy and Natural Resources. He specialises in working collaboratively to develop long-term partnerships with overseas investing companies specifically focusing on Chinese clients.  Stephen holds a number of Board positions and is actively involved in many aspects of international investments in the Australian landscape which includes specialised operational advice for clients.

Ms Wen Gu

Wen’s professional experience spans a variety of industry sectors, both in Australia and China. Her keen interest to advance bilateral relations and bring businesses together has seen her make meaningful impact on the Australia and China business community. Before moving to Brisbane, Wen worked as the Senior Business Engagement Manager for 3 years at AustCham Shanghai, the largest Australian Chamber of Commerce in China and was responsible for creating and developing the newest and fastest growing Business Engagement Department in the Chamber. Prior to joining ACBC QLD, Wen managed the China program in the Lord Mayor’s International Relations and Multicultural Affairs Unit at the Brisbane City Council. Wen has also worked in higher education with Navitas Professional in Melbourne and held the position of Legal Counsel at ShiMao Group in Shanghai.  Wen holds a Bachelor of Law from DongHua University in Shanghai and Master’s in Communications and Media Studies from Monash.
